Mongolian Language
- Linguistic Classification Mongolian is the principal language of the Mongolic language family, primarily spoken in Mongolia and adjacent regions of East-Central Asia.  
- Number of Speakers Approximately 5–6 million people speak Mongolian across all its dialects, including the vast majority of residents in Mongolia and many ethnic Mongols in Inner Mongolia, China.  
- Official Status Mongolian is the official language of Mongolia and Inner Mongolia, an autonomous region of China.  
- Writing Systems In Mongolia, Mongolian is written using the Cyrillic alphabet, introduced during the 1940s. In Inner Mongolia, the traditional Mongolian script is still in use.
