Xhosa Language
- Linguistic Classification Xhosa (isiXhosa) is a Bantu language within the Nguni subgroup, closely related to Zulu, Swati, and Ndebele.  
- Number of Speakers Approximately 8 million native speakers and 11 million second-language speakers, totaling around 19 million speakers.  
- Official Status Recognized as one of the 11 official languages of South Africa.  
- Geographical Distribution Predominantly spoken in the Eastern Cape province, with significant communities in Western Cape, Gauteng, and other provinces.
