Georgian Language
- Linguistic Classification Georgian is the most widely spoken language of the Kartvelian language family, which also includes Mingrelian, Laz, and Svan.  
- Number of Speakers Approximately 3.8 million people speak Georgian, primarily in Georgia.  
- Official Status Georgian is the official language of Georgia and is also spoken in parts of Azerbaijan, northeastern Turkey, and among communities in Iran.  
- Unique Alphabet Georgian is written in its own script called Mkhedruli, which consists of 33 letters and is one of the world's original alphabets.
